GMP 1967 Malco Mustang Gasser 1:18 Scale
‘Ohio George’ Montgomery may have made a name for himself in his 1933 Willys gasser, but when he teamed up with Ford and built the 1,200hp blown 427 SOHC-powered ‘Malco Gasser’, he made history! Starting with the fibreglass body shell and advice from NHRA’s rulemakers, Montgomery built a 1967 Mustang AA/Gas Supercharged racer like the world had never seen. He debuted it at the 1967 NHRA Spring Nationals in Bristol and went on to win the 1967 and 1968 Indy Nationals and set five national NHRA records, creating a lasting impression on drag racing fans and Ford fanatics worldwide.
GMP’s Limited Edition 1:18 scale diecast model of the Malco Gasser is beautifully detailed throughout and encapsulates the heart and soul of this historic race car. The blue metalflake paint and authentic graphics make it a show stopper, while the wheelie bars and huge rear rubber are pure competition. Lift open the flip front end to reveal the 6/71 supercharged and injected 427 ‘Cammer’ engine and the well crafted exhaust, radiator, fuel lines and coil spring front suspension. Open the doors for a better look inside, or better still raise the Mustang’s body to expose the bucket seats, shifter, foot pedals and more. The real Malco Gasser still exists today, deep within the vault at the Petersen Museum in Los Angeles, so this limited edition replica is the best way to appreciate this famous race car for years to come.
